Join us on the 3rd Thursday of the month for an evening of uplifting sisterhood with Ustadha Leenah Safi as she draws lessons from Shaykh Hamza Yusuf’s translation and commentary of a poem by Imam al-Mawlud on the Purification of the Heart.

Halaqa will be held at the home of sister Eram Uddin. College age and above (high schoolers are most welcome to attend). Please register below to receive the address.

Teacher Bio:

Leenah Safi is originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan and in 2014 was honored to graduate from Zaytuna College in their first class with a B.A. in Islamic Law and Theology. She went on to complete a Master of Divinity degree (MDiv.) in Interreligious Engagement and Chaplaincy Studies and worked as college chaplain with the Felicity Foundation at the University of Michigan and Wayne State from 2016-2019. From that work Leenah was compelled toward PhD studies at the Chicago Theological Seminary to continue identifying and researching the gaps in the experiences of Muslim students in their learning and sense of belonging. Leenah is active in formulating and teaching in the fields of pastoral care, chaplaincy, and practical theology.
